# Updating your points values from the portal

You can now update your referral points values from within the portal 🤩

**❗Please note:** If the tariff values are edited in the middle of a candidate's journey, _previously awarded_ points will remain the same and only future milestones will be awarded the updated values.

**Step-by-step guide:**

**Step 1:** Head to **Settings** on the left then **Tariffs:**

**Step 2:** Click the **three-dot** menu icon to the right of the **Standard Tariff,** then click **Edit**

❓Unable to view the 3 dot icon? Only portal users with the permission **'manage account settings'** will be able to view this. Please speak to your line manager if you need access to this permission.

**Step 3:** Enter the **new values** for each recruitment stage and click **save:**

And that’s it! To view these changes, simply log out and back into the portal.
