# Payment request notifications

If you want to receive an email alert every time a payment request is submitted simply follow these instructions.

**Turning on or off payment request notifications, a step-by-step guide:**

**Step 1:** From your dashboard click on your **initials** in the bottom left-hand corner, then select: '**My account settings**':

**Step 2:** Scroll down the page and under the **Email Notifications,** header tick the box next to '**Requests a payment'** and then click '**update**' to turn **on** payment request notifications.

Untick the box next to '**Requests a payment'** and then click '**update**' to turn **off** payment request notifications.

You will now receive an email whenever an app user submits a payment request and if this payment is not marked as paid on the portal within a month, a further reminder email will be sent.
