# Changing your monthly sharing points cap

App users can share jobs as frequently as they wish, however, they will only earn points for your chosen number of shares each month.

You can adjust whether app users receive points for either the first **5 or 10 shares per month**. The default setting is 10 points for sharing per month.

The best time to make adjustments to the share cap is on the 1st of the month when the sharing points system refreshes.

**Changing your sharing cap - a step-by-step guide:**

**Step 1:** From your dashboard click on '**settings**' and then click on the '**scheme rules**' tab:

This will take you to your scheme rules page.

**Step 2:** Scroll to **5. Share Cap** at the bottom of the page. Click in the **drop-down menu** to select 5 or 10.

**Step 3:** Click on '**update**' and the change will take effect.

Click on '**Download scheme rules**' if you would like to view an updated copy of your scheme rules.

**Informing app users of scheme rule changes:**

It's important to inform app users of any changes to the scheme rules. Here's some help to do that:

**Step 1:** Copy this **notification template:**

## The rules of your organisation's referral scheme have been amended. By continuing to use the app to share jobs, you are indicating that you understand and agree to these rules. We, therefore, recommend that you review them in the settings area. Thanks so much!
